Balloons at Sunset by wolfepaw Balloons at Sunset by wolfepaw
This is a fractal manipulation, the joining of two UF fractals that I did recently for the Seasonal Challenge 2012 - Summer in the #UF-artists group on dA - Summertime 2012. There are 3 categories for this Challenge: Color, Formula and Free-Style. This image is a combination of my Color Challenge entry and of my Free-Style Challenge entry, Here is the link to the journal article: [link]

Made in UF5 and postwork done in PhotoPlus X5.

Full view for detail.

Thank you very much for the groovy comment!  I'm so freaked that you like it!!  Yes, I am a child of the 60s and 70s and I'm afraid it shows up in my art, even now, 40 to 50 years later.

Thank you so much, Chlodulfa!!  I'm so tickled you liked this one!  One question, I don't see a purchase here on dA for a mousepad of this.  Did you actually purchase it or were you just thinking about it?  No problem, either way. Just the fact that you liked this is enough!!

I actually bought one, and because I'm a furloughed employee, fiscal prudence intervened and I put another one on my wishlist.  It is so weird being unemployed, if only for awhile.
Anyhow, your fractals are truly amazing!

I'm so sorry you got caught in this terrible government shutdown.  I hope it ends soon and you can get back to work.  It must be a bit of an unsettling feeling not to know when you might be able to get back to your regular life.  I hope you are doing something good with your "free" time (no, I know it's not free).  And, thank you again for the lovely kind words about my art!!

I appreciate your sympathy.  I am, at least, getting some sewing, housecleaning, fractal-making, and coffee-drinking done.
Luckily I have enough in savings to tide myself over until December or January.  Whenever this ends, I will go on another mousepad-buying spree.  None of my co-workers had ever heard of fractals before, but now many of them have fractal mousepads, because I use them as birthday presents.  Ours may be the most ccolorful set of cubicles in the whole Library of Congress.  Sadly the whole Library is in darkness, shut down tighter nor a drum.  I feel for the scholars who depended upon us.

Oohhh Love this one too!! So cool! :) so since this is my first time really doing this sort of thing, if I buy a 4x6 print, does that mean that I can then post freely without infringing on copyright? (not exactly sure how copyright works?...I mean I dont have a problem posting a link to the original...but for instance if I wanted to make a quote on on one of you pictures and post it on my FB, would this be allowable? )
