FE Bone Sculpture by wolfepaw FE Bone Sculpture by wolfepaw
Here is one of my favorite styles from Fractal Explorer. It looks like carved bone to me. My friend, :iconrozrr: gave me invaluable tips on FE and I am forever indebted to her. Without her help, I would still not know how to work some of the neater features of this program. So, thank you, Roz, for all your help!

Made in Fractal Explorer 2.02 and postwork done in GIMP.

interesting conversation over a marvelous piece of art...from bone marrows to weddings! if an inanimate beauty can bind life stories, art has done its part....elevating our consciousness to what truly links us all! fractals and beautiful people FOREVER!

What a marvelous comment! And you're right! When a piece of art (or a book or a movie) can get conversation going between people who are essentially strangers, then it has indeed fulfilled it's purpose. I'm so glad you enjoyed the back and forth and the actual image! I really appreciate your lovely feedback!

Thank you very much! Yes, bone marrow is a good interpretation. I used to do adult bone marrow stem cell research, so I really like your analogy!

Wow, that is just amazing. The closest I got to bone marrow is when I did a transfer. I hurt like hell, but it was worth it.

Why were you doing a bm transfer? Were you a donor for someone? If so, good for you! It's so important for people who need a bone marrow transplant to have a large pool of donors. Bone marrow transplant is one that can only be done with the highest level of antigen match. The chance of rejection is high and graft vs host is not a pretty disease. If more people would consider being bone marrow donors, a lot more people could be cured or at least have a chance at a cure for some dreadful diseases, a lot of them cancers. I applaud your unselfish act!:clap:

My grandmother died of bone marrow cancer when I was fourteen. All because a match could not be found. It was devastating to know something could be done, but not without a downer. I didn't want anyone to go through what I did, so I decided to donate. It hurt so much, but the satisfaction of knowing I did my part in preventing what happened to me from happening to someone else was enough for me.

Good for you! I so sorry to hear about our grandmother, but what you did could possibly help someone else survive a dreadful disease.

Thanks, Roz! I hope you don't mind that I mentioned you. If you would prefer I take your name off, I can. But, I still credit you with teaching me things about FE I don't think I could have done on my own without a lot of trial and error and frustration. So, if you don't mind, I'll leave the credit where it is.

I'll be happy to share any spot files with you. I did a tutorial on how to send them back and forth in a dA Note and how to save them as frs files. Would you like the link to that tutorial? I have a ton of spot files. There was also a Round Robin with FE back when :icondwalker1047: was running them and they put together a spot file pack from the RR FE images. I think I have them on my computer at home. If you're interested, let me know and I can email you a zip file with a bunch of spots in them. Just note me your email address.
