This is another one of those elliptic splits 3D Blooms I made after being inspired by "Autumn Glory" by =lucid-light

This is a combination of Elliptic Splits (from the tutorial by *Fiery-Fire and ^SaTaNiA)

and 3D Blooms (from the tutorial by `lindelokse)

Made in Apophysis 7X v15 (developed by `XyrusWorx) and postwork done in PhotoPlus X5.

So beautiful! It looks like it would be so soft to the touch - wonderful title. I see so many pieces that have titles that make me tilt my head and go..."Wha??" Not your works.

Thank you so much, Aurora! And I'm glad my title fit the image. Sometimes the name is harder to come up with than the image.

And now my brain hurts from looking at your notes on the creation of this-and the other-amazing works. Gee, thanks! :headache:

I don't know if I should say this. My friend thinks this looks like a black hole swallowing a gay flag. He says he likes it though. :-)

LOL!! That's a wonderful description! That's what makes fractals so much fun. Different people see different things. But, I'm glad he liked it!

Thanks so much, Roz! I'm really happy you liked it! To tell you the truth, I have stepped down my renders of Apo. I used to use around 8000 density, but now I just render at 1000 density, oversample 2 and filter radius starts at 0.4, but then I up it in post-render to 0.8. So, my renders don't take nearly as long as they used to and it may be my eyes (which are not good), but they look as good to me as most of the higher density renders.

I was glad to be of help. I read most of the comments on the link you sent me and I can kind of see where the guy was coming from. Having been a scientist for most of my career, when writing papers or grants, the references ALWAYS had to be from a peer-reviewed quality journal. Wikipedia or quotes from websites or blogs or videos with no data to back up the statements was highly frowned on and not allowed for the most part. And I know that research isn't 100% right. We used to have a saying in our lab: "If the results stated in the journal article can not be reproduced again (in the same lab and/or other labs) using the described technique or procedure, then the first result was an anomaly." There is actually a "Journal of Irreproducible Results". (It's a satirical scientific magazine, but it also contains so real but strange research). Also, early in my career I learned the hard way of the importance of appropriate controls in an experiment. That can sometimes be the problem with research, a lot of times all the right or sufficient controls aren't run, which can cause one to misinterpret the data. But, I digress...

Anyway, if your Australia guy raises his ugly head again, you might want to register for Medscape. It's free and you can get access to those articles open for public perusal, which are most of them. You can at least read the Abstract of almost all the articles there, even if you can't access the full article. Some articles are in journals that do not allow access without a subscription, but some allow free access, so it might say in Medscape if the article is free or restricted. There is often a link to the original article.

Thank you very much!! I can't seem to get away from the colors. I have tried muting them down, but a little voice inside my head keeps whispering "This would look better is it had LOTS OF COLOR!!" One day, I will learn to ignore the little voice and branch out to pastels or earthen tones, just to see what happens. I really appreciate the sweet comment!

Of course! :D Plus, I LOVE color! I always start out thinking I want do use a palette saturated with color, but I seem to always circle back to blues, purples, and reds. Ha ha.
