I love the look of the new website and by all means, you have to put your tutorial there! One comment: At the top where you will have the links for Home About Galleries Multi-panels Gallery canvas contact

I think you need to capitalize the C in "canvas" and the C in "contact". Just my opinion, of course.

Recently, I got contacted by a lady who had seen my fractals while searching for colorful images on Google and she said she really liked my fractal art and asked if I would give her permission to use some of my fractals on shower curtains she sells in her Christmas Shower Curtain shop on CafePress. She said anything of mine that sold, we would split the profits. I was so thrilled! I told her "yes" and one thing led to another and we have become pretty close friends considering we have never met one another, but she took it upon herself to create a website for me on WordPress, a site like CafePress for writers rather than artists. I was floored! Here is the link if you're interested in checking it out: [link]

I did the animated graphics at the top and sent it to her and she posted it on the website. She also convinced me that I should open my own CafePress shop for my fractals and I did. She put the link to the shop on my new website as well. There is also a link to my designs in her Shower Curtain Shop. If you get the chance, I'd appreciate your feedback, Rick.

Take care, my friend, and thank you again for the wonderful tut that has generated so many beautiful fractals!!

OH very cool Peggi!! Kinda like a Zazzle store!

I'm thrilled to see some TIA fractals there!! If ya
sell any, please let me know! Thrills me even more to
see folks possibly selling them on products!

I like it, the only thing that bothers me is the
link to your DA account! If the prints are different
prices at each place it might make folks uncomfortable
about buying (just my opinion, I sure haven't sold much
of anything)!!

I love the mugs and other goodies! You might want to think
about a Zazzle store also! Very easy to get started with
and looks pretty good also!

Good luck Darlin! I hope ya sell up a storm!!

Thanks so much, Rick! I do have some things on Zazzle, but never sold anything. I think it may just be a couple of Christmas ornaments, so I really haven't given it a decent whirl. I see what you mean about linking back to dA, but it's mostly to see my Gallery. I figured if someone saw something they like in my Gallery, they could contact me and ask if I could put that image on a certain item. Chances are, though, I won't get a lot of requests, so it may be unnecessary.

I also applied to become a vendor at Art on the Bluff, which is held in Natchez every second Saturday of the month (except Jan and Feb, when it's too damn cold). It's an area that is set up for local artists to display and sell their work. I had thought about it, but never had the nerve to apply. Well, I got an amazing response from the woman who heads it up. She said, "Hi Peggi! What an honor it will be for you to join us in March! You are approved! Looking forward to seeing your work in person! I have been admiring online for some time now. See you in March!"

I was floored by her enthusiastic response. It turns out she belongs to Fine Art America (another art site where I have some of my art posted) and she has seen my work there. I was so thrilled to be accepted. Now, all I have to do is figure out which fractals I want to make prints of and which ones I want to put on items, like coffee mugs, clocks, blankets, etc. to sell. At least I have until the second Saturday in March to get my act together. Wish me luck.

Talk to you later, Rick. Hugs to you, my friend!

Thanks, Tim! Things are getting better now that the year is almost over. 2012 has been a bear of a year for me. It started out rough and stayed that way until about 2 months ago. I recently gave a litany of what my 2012 has been like to a friend of mine. Here's what it said:
1. I had to buy a "new" used car in February (my 17 yr old Corolla finally died)
2. I had to go to the ER 2x (March and April)
3. I had to have a blood transfusion (April)
4. I had to have a colonoscopy, an upper GI scope, a camera endoscopy and a push endoscopy (April and May)
5. Someone used my husband's SSN to file a bogus Federal Income Tax return and it took us 4 months to get that straightened out (March through July)
6. My Mom died (June)
7. I severely sprained my ankle - tore 2-3 ligaments (September)

But, since then things have been looking up and I'm optimistic for 2013, if the world doesn't end on 12-21-2012 as per the Mayans.

I just noticed that you are in the Antarctica! Whoa, that's got to be cold! Do you celebrate Christmas there? Is it winter or summer there or does it have seasons? I am fascinated by the Antarctica and you must be a very gifted student to be down there. Are you working on a scientific project? I'm just curious, sorry if I seem nosy.

That is awful Peggi, my thoughts are with you and yours, they say bad luck comes in threes but you seem to have had far more than your fair share, lets hope it means you have had your quota and some, may 2013 be a whole lot kinder to you all

The Antarctica is a bit of a joke.. really just poking fun at living in Scotland ;)
If it wasn't for the fact I find it disgraceful the mess and pollution not to mention the introduction of alien(non native) species that all these 'scientists' and tourists have visited on Antarcticas pristine environment I would really love to go, not only to see the sights but also to do fisheries ecology work (my field)

LOL! I have been to Scotland and it is indeed cold. But, I loved it I went to Loch Ness in 1978 in September for a weekend to visit a friend who was there on business. He rented a car and we drove all along the north side of Scotland, then down the east side and back up to Loch Ness. The North Sea was one of the most interesting coastlines I've ever seen. Very rugged and wild up there. I would love to go back.

And you're right about the sullying of Antarctica. It seems where ever man treads, the waters and land become tainted and damaged in one way or another. We should just learn to leave well enough alone.

yep It is a pretty stunning coastline all round and back in 78 it would have been pretty unsullied. Things have changed a bit since then but thanks to the lack of any way to make money in rural scotland and the distance from the main population centres it still retains much of its beauty.. :)
