Fireflies in a Net by wolfepaw Fireflies in a Net by wolfepaw
This is done using the very nice Wires and Tubes tutorial by `CygX1.

It is very tweakable and leads to some very interesting designs. Thanks so much for sharing this technique!

Made using Apophysis 7X v15 (by `Xyrus02) and postwork done in PhotoPlus X5.

Full view for detail.

Soooo Awesome! I think this looks like what a fairy sees when they look out of their front window! :)

Oh, Mark! It's so sad that I see your sweet comment on this just after hearing the news that you have passed away. I'm so sorry to hear that, my friend. You will be remembered with great fondness here on dA and may you rest in peace. Another one gone too soon. Godspeed, Mark.

Okay. Fireflies have to be one of my favorite insects! Well, I like dragonflies and butterflies, but besides the point, I think fireflies are such interesting creatures. A very beautiful representation of the fireflies.

Thank you, Helen, for that beautiful comment! I find fireflies fascinating, too. We live in the woods around Natchez and we see a lot of them around out house. I found out that the males of some species are the ones that fly around blinking and the females are flightless and larviform and stay on the ground and are referred to as "glow worms". I never knew that before. I'm delighted you liked my fractal version of them!

Hmm...I think I heard that, but I can't be sure. That's very interesting. I saw the glow worms before and I asked my brother what it is and he said they were fireflies. And you're very welcome!
