Julia and Julian by wolfepaw Julia and Julian by wolfepaw
Started working on some old Julians I had lurking around. I thought I'd give the Julian contest [link] by :iconpinkgrapefruit: a try. This is my first attempt. I suspect there will be many more before I finally pick which 2 to submit.

Made with Apo 2.08 3D Hack and postwork in Photoshop.

Full view for detail and download is 1280x960.

I hope you like it.

When my mouse skidded to a halt to take a longer look at this wonderful piece and I saw who its creator is, I wasn't surprised. She has done this to me more than once. Held me prisoner inside of her gallery for hours while i looked at image after image, unable to force myself to step away from the computer. but you know what
I am one of those fractal addicts who doesn't have a clue how to make the simplest fractal. The joy i get from them is just in the looking and the ability to be amazed by an artist with true talent and enough imagination to keep it delightfully different with each new fractal.
This one reminds me of the carpet in one of those old movie theaters from the 1940's era. The colors and patterns deep and rich, reminding us of a time when things werent commonly mass produced and quality not quantity is what mattered.
Well done AGAIN Wolfpaw! I would tell you to definitely choose this piece as one of your entries for that contest because its a winner in my book.

Aloha, once more -
The perspective gained by the rotation of the planar aspect provides a new, more expansive feel to this piece. Gauging by the volume of work presented I'd hazard that someone as you cuffed to the keyboard or maybe craftily dependent upon a special food or substance to produce with such proficiency.

It's humbling to view this collection.

Wow! I love this example! It brings to mind a room with the symbols of the zodiacs printed on the floor for some reason! Great job! :)

Thanks! That's a pretty neat description of this. I love the way different people see different things in fractals. That's part of the fun of making them.
