A little Easter fractal done using Mandelbulb 3D. This is a tweak of the built in Apollo Balloons dIFS parameters which is included in the newer versions of Mandelbulb.
I have been out of action lately, but I just had to do something for Easter. I hope everyone had a wonderful one!
Made with Mandelbulb 3D v 1.7.9.3 and postwork done in PhotoPlus X5.

All is going well. It's been a busy summer with the yard, garden (canning like crazy - must have enough groceries for several years) and a major project with the kitchen. That entailed new floor jost & subfloor. Which in a way was good since we found that the drain pipe for the washer wasn't connected to the sewer line. Oh the joy of old houses! Also managed to put up several fractal animations on YouTube. These usally take about three weeks for each one. They really slow down the pc so I don't do much then. Everything else is ok. Wife had a small problem with some blood clots in her leg but is doing great now. Tank, the dog, is pretty much back to normal. Off all the meds except insulin. Didn't know that dogs could be diabetic. Oh well, he's worth every $k we spent on him! Haven't been fishing of late. sigh... Hope your hubby is picking up the slack fishing wise.
If you get a chance and your school has an economics prof would you ask him his opinion on the economy, the petro dollar and precious metals. Curious about what his take would be. The pundits on the business channels have to be taken with a pound of salt since their revenue stream is dependent on advertising from the big corporations. I do have an opinion but it would be rather lengthy.
Sounds like things are going along pretty well for you, Steve. So glad to hear your wife is doing better. Blood clots are nothing to full around with. They can dislodge and go to the heart and lungs and then it's a really big problem. I know that animals could get diabetes, but I didn't know they actually had dog insulin. I thought maybe it was controlled by diet. And, of course, Tank is worth every penny you spend on him! I know we would spare no expense to treat our dog, Tippi. We would be lost without her.
My husband hasn't done a whole lot of fishing this year. Our pond was really low and he's not sure how many of the fish have survived. Although we are not officially in a drought in Natchez, the rainfall has been less than normal and that's why the pond is so low. He has caught a couple of small perch and bass, but nothing to write home about.
I'll see what I can find out about and professors in Alcorn's Business/Economic department and try to solicit an opinion from him on the economy. I keep hearing about the "fiscal cliff" that we are about to fall off of, but I'm not sure I understand exactly what they're talking about. Of course, I've been over the "fiscal cliff" since Katrina. If it gets much worse, my husband and I will be eating bread and butter for the foreseeable future. Or learn how to make "rock and stick soup". Thanks so much, Steve, for the update. It's always nice to catch up. Take care and I'll let you know if I can get any input from an economic prof here at Alcorn.
Come to find out that doggie insulin is basically the same as peoples insulin. Who would ever thunk that!
Manage to catch about a dozen nice sized blue catfish easrly in the year. Love catfish but hate cleaning them. Gave them to our next door neighbor who is from south of Mexico somewhere. Nice people but there is a language barrier. After growing up in Texas I never learned much Spanish except to get into a bar fight in one of the border towns if the need arose. ha
The "Fiscal Cliff". That is a mouth full to say the least! Think of it this way. As bad as Katrina was for you, and I'm sorry that it happened to you & hubby, what would happen if something along that line happend to most of the country? Or even a tenth of that happened.
Along with "rock & stick" soup there is "road kill" pattie! Goes together well, I hear! Seriously though, a garden can make a big difference in the grocery budget.
Take care & looking forward to what an economic prof has to say.

Noooo, I can't think of anything else other than a bright & colorful Peggi!
Besides, is there any other way?
Hope all is going well with you guys.
