This is from the 2008 Natchez Pow-wow at the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians in Natchez, MS. I thought the costume on the woman in the middle was just mind-blowing. I wish I could have gotten a picture of her dancing.

Full view for detail.

I hope you like this little taste of Native Americana.

Of course I love these ... I am NA and from the Eastern Cherokee. I go to powwows whenever I can find them going on, but up here in MN it is going to be difficult. In KY it was much easier. Nice pictures.

This is wonderful Peggi!
I have always wanted to go to a Pow-wow. Lucky lady!
I am about 30 miles from the Santee Sioux reservation here and I'm not sure how far I am from Pine Ridge.
Did you know that the Lakota are now a republic? I think that is so wonderful. It is about time. It is an amazing site. If you are interested do a google search for Republic of Lakotah.

By the way, I love this and the lady's Native wear is exquisite.
Glad you shared this with us!

Lea, I'm so glad you liked this and commented as such!

I have posted a video on YouTube of a compilation of short videos I took at the Pow-wows in 2007 and 2008. Here's the link, if you'd like to see it.
