Description

This is my entry for the Apo Challenge 54 - DC Perlin being held by :iconf--l--a--r--k:.

The rules were very simple and straightforward.

"This week's challenge is to fully utilize the new dc-perlin plugin by dA's slobo777. There are no restrictions to this challenge but to use and put into the forefront the dc_perlin plugin."

So, that's what this is. I have never worked with a dc (direct color) variation before. It's very different from the regular apo color handling. I learned a little bit about it in this Challenge. I may use it more, but it takes a lot of time to render. This rather simple dc flame took about *24 hours to render*. I was astonished! :jawdrop:

But, anyway, I hope you find this one interesting.

Made in Apophysis 7X v14 and postwork done in GIMP.

Full view for detail.
