Only joined DA in last couple of days as just started to play with Apophysis, but seen several pieces by yourself that I love, this though stands out as an absolute beauty. Reminds me of a flower with a stamen. I'll have a go with the Tutorial by nightmares06

Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I'm delighted you enjoyed some of my Apo work. It is still my favorite fractal program. Even though I also use UF, FE and Mandelbulb 3D, I always find myself coming back to Apo. If you need any help with Apo, let me know.

How did you get the metallic sheen on the 'balloon'? Is it in the fractal or the tweaking? It's beautiful.

Thank you very much! The shine comes from the fractal itself. The tweaking is mostly for signature, sharpening, levels to get the lighting just right, and resizing.

Aw, thanks so much, Gypsy! I was so thrilled to get this result because I've been trying for awhile to make a fractal balloon. I think I might have hit on something here. I'm so glad you liked it!

I read in your journal that you are doing pretty well. I take it the surgery went OK. Now, you have to take it easy and recover completely and be back to your old self again. I've been thinking about you, my friend.

I know it is going to be at least a couple of months before I can be back to normal .. but I am the type of person that likes to be on the go and get things done and now I can't and it is driving me crazy LOL - But am hanging in here for the best thing.
I am going to try that tutorail soon .. It looks like fun.

Thank you, Rose! Yes, I bet if I turned it 180 it would have a whole different look. I"ll have to play with that aspect. I really appreciate your continued support, Rose! You are too sweet!

Support is what dA is all about. I'm having a lot more fun with Apo since you helped me and I'll always be thankful for that.

Anytime I can help, I will be more than happy! If it wasn't for the kindness and help I received from fractalists when I first started out, I would still me making wispy formless weak render fractals. So, if I can play it forward, that makes me happy! :iconifeelfluffyplz:
