Description

Alright, I managed to get all the pumpkins in the Apo Pumpkin Patch orange. But, I also decided they needed to be more in the spirit of Halloween, so I carved some faces on them. Now, you can pick them ready made as Jack O'Lanterns.

I folowed :iconmfcreative:'s wonderful 3D Effect Tutorial for this.

Check it out. You can make all sorts of interesting things with it.

This is my entry into the Halloween Contest being run by :iconxgnyc:. Wish me luck. I can enter two, but I don't have a 2nd one in mind yet.

Here is the link to the original Pumpkin Patch:

Here is the link to the Most Happy Fella fractal face:

These are the only two elements in this image.

Pumpkin Patch made in Apophysis 7X.9 and Fractal Face made in Apo 2.08 3D Hack. Postwork done using GIMP.

Full view for detail.

Update 11-09-09: This happy little group of pumpkins won 1st place in the Halloween contest put on by :iconxgnyc:!! I'm so thrilled!! Thanks to *xgnyc for putting on the contest and thanks to the judges for their time and effort in what must have been a difficult judging. There were so many really neat entries. I'm so honored to have won!

OMG! This is so adorable Peggi! When I saw this on your home page, it made me laugh, just because it is so cute and happy looking!

Many times I look at art, and even though I have had no formal training in art, I can appreciate the fact that someone has taken their time, to create something of beauty. Sometimes it is evident in the composition of the image, and the technical complexity of the creation. Even the untrained eye can tell when thought, preparation and time have been put into a piece.

There is an appreciation of the art, and the creator as well.

Once in a great while, I am captivated, and charmed by an image that just makes me feel good all over.
That is what these little guys do. Laughing is just a response to how happy they appear to be.

It's a gift Peggi, to be able to make something that instills pleasure in someone else.

I am so tickled you shared this with us.
